Convoy of Hope World Distribution Center

Location: Springfield, MO

The 250,000 square foot World Distribution Center was completed in August 2021.  The facility consists of a two-story office area, 191,000 square feet of dry storage and approximately 35,000 square feet of area designated to house Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Relief programs.  Q & Company served as the Construction Manager for the project and oversaw the project from final site selection through design, construction, commissioning and closeout.   The building is located on a 150-acre site that includes plans for Convoy of Hope’s World Office Headquarters, Disaster Services & warehouse building, dormitory style housing for Convoy of Hope’s worldwide staff, farming education centers along with many other building, farming and education opportunities.

The dry storage areas include up to 5 times expandability for pallet storage compared to their original facility: a large bulk storage area, a temperature-controlled storage area and a large viewing platform overlooking Convoy of Hope’s Warehousing and Disaster Services operations. The building’s precast concrete and steel frame is enhanced with decorative metal wall panels and aluminum and glass features.   This building will house 50-75 Convoy of Hope team members and be their hub for shipping relief aid worldwide while providing designated volunteer workspace for the hundreds of volunteers who support Convoy of Hope.
