The 200,000-square-foot World Headquarters building, located in Springfield, Missouri was completed in September 2023. The facility consists of two 3-story office buildings, a 700+ seat Chapel, multiple audio and video recording and editing studios, a cafeteria area, gym area, classroom style training room, coffee shop and an approximate 10,000 square foot open atrium area used as a collaboration/meeting space. Q & Company served as the Construction Manager for the project and oversaw the project from final site selection through design, construction, commissioning, and closeout. The building is located on a nearly 300-acre site that includes plans for Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Services office and warehouse building, dormitory-style housing for Convoy of Hope’s worldwide staff, farming education centers along with many other building and farming opportunities.
The office area is designed to house approximately 700 employees and the building plan includes expandability options as Convoy of Hope grows. The office building is connected to Convoy of Hope’s existing 250,000 World Distribution Center via a second-story bridge to provide staff, visitors, and donors with a full, immersive experience of Convoy of Hope’s worldwide operations. The building’s structure consists of post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, and structural steel framing. The building’s exterior is heightened with ample amounts of aluminum storefront, curtainwall, and glazing systems, along with decorative metal wall panels and locally sourced cut limestone.
